What is my WordPress Feed URL?

If you’re an amatuer when it comes to WordPress, then you might be asking the question, “What is my WordPress Feed URL?” — and we can sympathise! After all, we have all been amatuers at one time or another, and it’s not always so simple to find such information out, unless you fancy the laborious task of searching through many, many pages of WordPress documentation.

Therefore to put your mind at rest, we have listed the possible locations of your WordPress Feed URL, depending on the configuration you are using in your WordPress website.

Don’t worry, you’re not alone. Even cats find this task a difficult nut to track!

With Permalinks

If you have permalinks enabled on your, then you will likely find your WordPress Feed URL in the following locations:

  • http://www.example.com/feed/ (RSS 2.0 – Default)
  • http://www.example.com/feed/rss2/ (RSS 2.0)
  • http://www.example.com/feed/rss/ (RSS 0.92)
  • http://www.example.com/feed/rdf/ (RDF/RSS 1.0)
  • http://www.example.com/feed/atom/ (Atom)

Without Permalinks

If for some curious reasons you do not have permalinks enabled on your WordPress blog — something we do recommend because it makes it a lot more attractive for GoogleBot and others, then your feed URL will be in the following locations:

  • http://www.example.com/?feed=rss2 (RSS 2.0)
  • http://www.example.com/?feed=rss (RSS 0.92)
  • http://www.example.com/?feed=rdf (RDF/RSS 1.0)
  • http://www.example.com/?feed=atom (Atom)

Problem solved! You can now go ahead and submit your feeds to various locations. If we were to recommend only one place to submit your feed URL to, then it would most definietly be Technorati!
